Our stock size Shelter Shutters are made the same way as our custom shutters. The internal magnets are always 4” from the top and bottom (shown here as red dots) and ½” from the outer edge. In longer shutters, there’s a center magnet as shown  by the red dots in the drawing. As long as the shutters’ magnets align with the outer edge of the elevated glass frame, the shutter will operate properly. 

When the door has a elevated glass frame, your Single Fold Shelter Shutter can be oversize and still work correctly. Below are examples of how one size glass frame can be covered by several different size shutters. 

Ideally, you want the shutter size to be as close to the glass frame size as possible, but if the shutter is wider than what’s needed, simply back the shutter away from the glass frame so when it unfolds, it only extends to the edge of the glass frame. The length of the shutter you choose should be no longer than 5” to 6” longer than the frame.
